About Me
I am mother to a son (Simon) and a daughter (Rebecca); grandmother to eight
(five girls, three boys); and human to Misty Blue, my blue staffy. I completed
Year 12 in Adelaide, and relocated to Brisbane in 1999, mainly due to my
children’s involvement in ice-skating.
I am a parkrun addict, which is a 5km walk/run on Saturday mornings. It is a
good way to start the weekend. Last year I did my first half-marathon and am
planning on doing a marathon this year (on my bucket list to do before I am
sixty, so this is the year).
I have also taken up Zumba, to the surprise of my daughter, who said, ‘Mum,
you don’t dance well.’ Never too old to start! And I enjoy it. I enjoy family and
friend time, browsing through markets, sightseeing, making sun-catchers,
trivia evenings, cruising, gardening, walking, the sound of birds, lightning, and
swaying gumtrees. Couldn’t live without quality ice cream.
About Work
I have been in the print industry for nearly four decades, working in customer
sales, typesetting, bindery, etc. I have been in a supervisory position for half
of that time. I take my role seriously because I want to deliver to the customer
the best possible job, on time.
I would like to be with InHouse till I retire; I enjoy the friendship and family
atmosphere.
